Here are some photographs I shot of throwing a cast net for bait out on the beach early this morning.

Many years ago when I learned to throw a cast net (and would practice on a gravel parking lot), I was taught the surest trip to the dentist was to hold the net in your teeth until releasing the throw.
Still smiling years later!


For these two photos, I don’t know the technical explanation for what caused the unusual shadow/reflection through part of the net to look almost like two people, but it’s interesting!
