Look Really Closely

There are many things I enjoy about photography, and one is to take an object – like this artichoke – and really study it from outside to inside.

In this case, what you’re photographing goes from just a piece of food to its rich textures, colors and shapes – on a reflective surface!

What’s something you’ll really look at tomorrow to see what’s beneath the surface, asks The Daily Artisan??!

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
—Elliott Erwitt

“The camera makes you forget you’re there. It’s not like you are hiding but you forget, you are just looking so much.”
—Annie Leibovitz

“Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.”
—Marc Riboud
