During the Golden Hour for approximately one hour before sunset, photography subjects are bathed in extraordinarily beautiful light. I’ve been taking advantage of this glorious time to experiment with photographing different items, and today I have for you Gala apples in the Golden Hour!
For my house, the Golden Hour light comes inside from off the lake, and I’m set up with studio equipment to capture it there. You often have to move quickly because some days “Hour” is an exaggeration, and you have only a brief time to photograph — and change out scenes and props if you’re lucky.
Gala apples with their gold, red and green colors are a good subject for Golden Hour light, and I really enjoyed doing these photographs. It just seems that everything pretty is even prettier during the Golden Hour!
