Today this white peacock photograph was selected as an Instagram hub feature, and I’m delighted the animal gets to make a winning debut on social media!
Some of my previous blog posts on The Daily Artisan have talked about how photographing birds freaks me out because sometimes they look like they are going to quickly charge at you and your camera. This bird had a particularly bad attitude, although in this photo you can’t tell it in his at-the-moment (not sure which) “resting/pouting/sleeping/ignoring?” pose!
I do think they’re quite beautiful birds (as long as you are nimble for ducking)!
The Instagram hub that selected the photo for a grid feature in a “Details” themed competition is @hiyapapayaphotoaday, currently with 11,200 followers.
Previous photograph wins from this hub were for a blue hour beach scene, and a wooden spoon with blueberries, a peach and a strawberry.
