A Perfect Day at Selby Gardens Historic Spanish Point in Osprey, Florida

I spent today photographing at Selby Gardens Historic Spanish Point in Osprey, Florida, and it is such a beautiful place!

Historic Spanish Point is 30 picturesque acres set directly on Little Sarasota Bay – with historic buildings you can go inside; native plants; stunning nature trails; a butterfly garden; archaeological sites; and more.

This photograph shows part of the early 1900s Sunken Garden (with a pergola in the background).

It was my first visit here and I’m blown away by everything there is to see and photograph (including a small, white chapel; the 1901 house of the homesteaders; and a citrus packing house – and I took pictures of it all)!

Check back tomorrow for the photographs and link to a “VISIT” blog post by The Daily Artisan. I’m excited to share more about this treasure in Sarasota County, Florida!
